For heaven’s sake. Gay men get it worse than us lesbian’s in the ol myth departments. Not that they wanted the period us lesbians supposedly don’t get.
Damn do they get some crap. I think that is because they are men. We live in a society where men are supposed to be strapping, and strong. We all know that gay men get shaky knees at the mere sight of a spider.
While we lesbians get stuck with short hair, and man cloths. Gay men get labeled with everything else. While it seems that lesbians get the dumb ass myths the men get the mean ones. The myths that can ruin their reputation, and that kind of thing.
What a scaredy cat society we live in. So here we go…
Homosexuals recruit Children. That’s how they got me. The neighborhood gay man was like, “come here little girl, I’ll make you a lesbian.” Who the hell came up with that myth? Or do they think because gay folks want to have a family and adopt a kid that’s recruiting?
Homosexuality is a phase; getting married will take care of it. Getting married will just lend to the divorce rate. Broke Back marriages rarely work. Would it work for you straight folk out there if your husband/wife were homosexual? Wearing your jeans down below your ass is a phase.
Homosexuals are hedonistic and have no interest in spiritual things. Riggghhht. All gay men are Atheists. If they were I wouldn’t blame them with the God-doesnt-want-your-faggoty-ass attitude that is tossed their way. Being Buddhist, Wiccan, New Age those are all spiritual in form.
Gay men are Phedaphiles. Dumb asses. Gay men are just men who love men. Not men who love boys. Plus a vast majority of pedophiles are heterosexual. That one pisses me off.
Homosexuals are evil. We all know, when the sun goes down, gay men turn into vampires and head for the gay bar. I guess if you belive the other myths that would make any gay man evil.
See told you they have it worse. I bet a period would be the least of a gay guys problems with all that crap being spewed. Ugh.

Thank you for drawing attention to and debunking some more of these insidious myths! People resort to “force” when they can’t fight fair… and “FEAR” is their biggest hammer!
Some of the myths you talked about really irritate me. A friend and I were talking once about how hard it has to be to be a gay man. Because even 100% straight women can understand the emotional attraction if not the physical but that doesn’t translate well in to the male population.

BRIDGEOUT–I agree people use force when they can’t fight fair. The whole anti gay think isn’t fair so scare the hell out of the people who don’t know much about GLBT issues, and force the GLBT people back into the closet
WVHILLCOUNTRY–The male population as a whole I think struggle with certain emotions due to what society says the male expectations are.
QUEERUNITY–Gay men do become vampires. At least around here. I was thinking about moving but a vampire told me that being a lesbian was okay, and straight women scream too much when they see a gay vampire so they don’t bother with them and just chase them around to scare the straight men into coming up with some ridiculous myths.
